Behavioural assessments are conducted via the systematic gathering of information which clearly describes the behaviour, as well as the conditions, social contexts and environments in which it does and does not occur. Analysis of this information is used to develop an informed hypothesis which seeks to explain the function of the behaviour. From this analysis a specifically targeted positive behaviour support plan is developed.
