Positive Behaviour Support Plans

Our comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans consist of four elements:

1. Ecological/Environmental Strategies. These strategies will address the contextual features related to the presentation of challenging behaviour.

2. Positive Practices are those interventions which encourage and teach functionally related skills. That is, our plans will include strategies to teach new skills to the individual, thus eliminating the person’s need to engage in the behaviour of concern.

3. Focused Support Strategies designed to address the challenging behaviour in the short term; and

4. Incident Prevention & Response Plans detailing the strategies to prevent incidences of challenging behaviour, as well as the recommended responses to de-escalate an episode of challenging behaviour.
